FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CHARLOTTE, NC – July 2, 2024 – Madelyn's Fund, a Charlotte-based non-profit organization, is proud to announce significant mid-year milestones in their mission to support local NICU families across the Carolinas. This year, they have had the opportunity to serve more NICU families than ever before. In the first half of 2024, Madelyn’s Fund has: Processed 713 requests, a 3.8% increase compared to 687 requests in 2023. Served 293 new families, a 17.7% increase compared to 249 new families in 2023. Funded 29 funerals totaling $45,258, a 17.3% increase in funds provided compared to $38,587 for 28 funerals in 2023. Provided $145,693 in total assistance, a 28.9% increase compared to $113,033 in 2023.
