For Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Month, we co For Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Month, we connected with Shari Shefer, Clinical Social Worker for Pediatric Heart Failure and Heart Transplants at Levine Children’s Hospital, to talk about the real impact Madelyn’s Fund has on the families she serves—many of whom spend 6–9 months in the hospital waiting for a new heart. From gas cards to assistance with rent and utilities, Madelyn’s Fund helps ease the everyday burdens so parents can focus on what matters most: being present with their child.
