🎀 Meet Emily, Program Manager at Madelyn's Fund! 🎀

We're excited to introduce Emily, whose passion for serving others and personal connection to our mission make her an incredible part of the Madelyn's Fund team.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Emily has called Charlotte home for the past 25 years. Her background includes working as a Medical Assistant with Novant Health, serving six years in the U.S. Army, where she supported hospital staff and led COVID-19 testing operations during the pandemic, and earning her bachelor's degree in Health & Human Services with a minor in Public Health from UNC Charlotte.

Emily and her wife, Sara, are proud parents to daughters Fletcher and Millie. During Emily's pregnancy with Millie, their family faced the uncertainty of fetal growth restriction, and although Millie narrowly avoided a NICU stay, the experience gave Emily a deeper understanding of the emotions families experience when birth doesn't go as planned.

That experience ultimately led Emily to Madelyn's Fund. She first joined the organization in a part-time role before stepping into her current position as Program Manager. Today, she is dedicated to strengthening and growing the programs that support local NICU families.

When asked what makes Madelyn's Fund so special, Emily shared:
"Madelyn's Fund allows families to set aside many of the everyday financial stresses so they can be fully present with their baby during a NICU stay. That's one of the greatest gifts we can give."
