CHARLOTTE, NC – October 19, 2024 – Madelyn’s Fund proudly announces that the 7th Annual Pink Bow Gala, held on October 18 at The Casey by BeauMonde, was an unforgettable evening of generosity and community support, raising over $525,000—nearly a 40% increase from last year. This remarkable outpouring will enable Madelyn’s Fund to expand its vital assistance to NICU families and support families facing the unimaginable loss of an infant.

Founded in 2016 by Rachel and Andy Lee in honor of their daughter Madelyn, Madelyn’s Fund has provided critical support to families in times of need. The success of this year’s Gala helps ensure that as more families seek assistance, Madelyn’s Fund can meet these rising needs and offer vital relief.

An Inspiring Program and an Elegant Evening

Attendees enjoyed an elegant seated dinner, expertly crafted cocktails, and treats by Honeybear Bake Shop. The evening’s excitement peaked with live and silent auctions, led by auctioneer Jimmy Derrick, featuring luxury items, unique getaways, and gourmet experiences. From the thrill of a mystery box featuring a 14k gold tennis bracelet with 2.91 carats valued at $5,200, courtesy of Diamonds Direct, to a second-line band parade that set the tone for an unforgettable night, the Gala was an event full of surprises.

The night featured an inspiring program hosted by national TV personality Sean Keane, who guided guests through heartfelt moments that captured the mission of Madelyn’s Fund. Founders Rachel and Andy Lee shared their story, followed by a powerful video testimonial from the Couvell family, whose NICU journey touched every heart in the room. Guests were moved to tears as the Couvells recounted the premature birth of their triplets at just 27 weeks and the devastating loss of their son, Hayden, just days after birth. The family’s journey continued with their two surviving daughters, who spent over three months in the NICU. Their story of resilience, profound loss, and unwavering hope stands as a testament to the mission of Madelyn’s Fund.
