Making a Statement: Midlands’ Inaugural Pink Bow Fashion Show and Auction Unites Fashion and Philanthropy to Support Local NICU Families

Columbia, SC, March 25, 2024 – On Thursday, April 18th, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Jim Hudson
Automotive will present the 2nd annual Madelyn’s Fund Pink Bow Fashion Show––hosted at Central Energy in the Bull Street District––to help raise money in support of Midlands NICU and pediatric families.

Last year, the Inaugural Pink Bow Fashion Show hosted over 300 guests and raised an impressive $156,000 which in return helped support 210 families at the Prisma Health Richland and Baptist Hospital NICUs.

The Pink Bow Fashion Show is presented by Jim Hudson Automotive and benefits Madelyn’s Fund in partnership with Prisma Health Midlands. Lady Gamecock’s musical favorite, DJ Puff, will kick off the evening of fashion and philanthropy as guests enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres by Loosh Culinaire and an open bar by RepublicNational Distributing Company.

Auctioneer, Jimmy Derrick, will bring the energy during the dynamic fashion event––showcasing a specially curated, men’s and women’s collection by Granger Owings, paired with fun getaways and specialty items. Models will be styled in attire complementing a modern lifestyle with everyday, casual, business, and tailored garments for men and women. Attendees will be able to bid during the live auction on fashions and experiences. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Madelyn’s Fund in the Midlands and Prisma Health Midlands.

Madelyn’s Fund was founded in 2016 by NFL punter Andy Lee and his wife Rachel after the loss of their daughter, Madelyn, at 8 days old. Today, Madelyn’s Fund supports NICU patients and their families, including those who experience the trauma of infant loss. When families are faced with spending unexpected time in the NICU, they are forced to take unforeseen time off of work, incur travel costs, pay countless medical bills, and in the worst of cases, bear the expense for their child’s funeral. Their goal is to ease the stress they experience through financial assistance, allowing them to focus their time and energy on the well-being of their family.

A special ‘Thank You’ to our sponsors––Columbia Multiple Listing Service (CMLS), Michael J. Mungo Foundation and Brabham Griffin Insurance, Thermo King, Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union, Anna & David W.
