19 May Raise a Glass, Make a Difference: Madelyn’s Fund Launches Third Annual Drink Pink Campaign to Support NICU Families
Charlotte, NC—May 19, 2025 — Madelyn’s Fund proudly announces the return of its third annual Drink Pink campaign—a powerful and growing movement uniting restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and beverage spots across the region to support families facing the unimaginable. This vibrant initiative raises critical funds for local families with a child in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), as well as those enduring the heartbreak of infant loss, with every pink drink poured in partnership with Madelyn’s Fund.
Launching on Memorial Day weekend (Friday, May 23) and running through June, Drink Pink spans the Greater Charlotte area. Participating establishments will feature pink-themed drinks—from creative cocktails to glasses of rosé to refreshing non-alcoholic options—with a portion of proceeds donated directly to Madelyn’s Fund.
“In March alone, Madelyn’s Fund provided financial support for 10 funerals for local NICU families who experienced the unimaginable loss of their baby—or in some cases, babies,” said Rachel Lee, co-founder of Madelyn’s Fund. “Funeral services cost thousands of dollars, making this heartbreaking reality a powerful reminder of just how vital our mission is. Every pink drink this summer becomes a small but meaningful act of love, remembrance, and hope, showing the difference our community can make.”
Last year’s campaign raised more than $8,000—nearly triple the amount from the year before. With even more participating venues and expanded community support, 2025 is poised to be the biggest year yet.
To help spotlight the campaign’s importance, Madelyn’s Fund board member Katie Darling recently sat down with Queen City News anchor Will Lewis to share the story behind Drink Pink and how this heartfelt effort supports families in crisis. In the interview, Katie explains how Madelyn’s legacy lives on through each donation, each event, and each pink drink served across the region—all working together to provide emotional and financial relief to NICU families when they need it most.
From elegant wine bars to neighborhood cafés, there’s a pink drink for everyone—and every sip makes a difference.
